About

A bridge between policy, strategy, and digital delivery.

Dr. Gideon Nimako is a strategy, digital, and data leader with extensive experience shaping continental policy on corporate strategy, digital transformation, and data governance across Africa. As Head of Data Science and Strategic Planning at the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), he translates macroeconomic, data, and digital priorities into policy frameworks, interoperable systems, and delivery mechanisms supporting Agenda 2063 and large-scale implementation across AU Member States.

He leads the Agency's corporate strategy and its data-science capability, leading the development of AUDA-NEPAD's Corporate Strategy 2025 to 2029 and the AU Domestic Resource Mobilisation (AU-DRM) Strategy adopted by the AU Assembly, and quantifying Africa's US$3.3 trillion financing gap into data-driven investment frameworks. His work strengthens data governance, advances digital public infrastructure, and supports governments to build resilient, interoperable systems for planning, service delivery, and sector performance.

Earlier, he led the design and deployment of digital and analytics platforms, including enterprise data systems at IBM and Accenture and large-scale digital and surveillance systems across multiple African countries, bridging strategy, data science, and digital system deployment to make institutions more effective, transparent, and connected.
